Attorney Thomas Fahey

AREAS of PRACTICE

Attorney Thomas Fahey is the managing member of the law offices of Fahey Landolina & Associates, L.L.C. He specializes in legal representation of municipalities and private sector clients in all aspects of land use and municipal law.

EXPERIENCE

Attorney Fahey's twenty-five years of legal practice have included litigation in all State and Federal Courts and before the Department of Environmental Protection, the Freedom of Information Commission and other State and Federal agencies. In addition, Attorney Fahey's legal experience has included representation of the Town of East Windsor for 4 1/2 years in the mid-1980s and since 1990, the Town of Somers in all areas of municipal law, and the Town of Tolland since December 1997.

Fahey's professional activities have included Speaker on land use processing for the Connecticut Home Builders Association Developers Council, co-author of Aquifer Protection in Connecticut and An Overview of Municipal Responsibilities for Aquifer Protection (Connecticut Bar Journal, Spring 1994), and co-author Supreme Court Vindicates Municipalities' Right to Recoup Land-Use Processing Fees (Connecticut Lawyer, May 1995).

Attorney Fahey's extensive background in law has included practicing law with the Law Offices of Thomas W. Fahey, Jr., and the law firms of Leary and Fahey and Ribicoff & Kotlin. He has served as Assistant Town Counsel for the Town of Enfield, where he represented the Town in matters including legal research, drafting legal briefs for zoning and land use matters, and providing legal advise to the Town Council.

EDUCATION

Fahey is a 1969 graduate of Brown University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1972.
